The Black Keys, another group I haven't paid much attention to until Grammy night. "Lonely Boy" is the opening track from their 2011 studio album El Camino and a part from receiving major recognition worldwide, reached number 64 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is rock nonetheless, but the addition of the live instrumentation of the "Jazz Band" gives it a fun, lively vibe almost like a mod-feel. For some reason two particular songs came to mind: Hall and Oates "Maneater" and Jerry Lee Lewis "Great Balls Of Fire". It was a sure-fire way to feed the hungry Garage rock fans in the audience and another great selection to compare with other well-done performances winning Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and ranking in my opinion the highest category, Record Of The Year! The energy was fast especially with the camera views from every angle and before you know it the song is finished. Very fast, energetic, and an unusually fascinating glance at a Funkdified Georgia Clinton The Village People's Indian look-alike onstage. Kinda Kool.
