Appropriate for the mood of the month of February, I caught this lovely gem with the reprisal of Avant and Keke together after seven years last night on VH1 Soul. Just released this year, February 5, 2013, on his seventh studio album Face The Music. It may just be me but I feel particularly drawn to this song because I've had his single "My First Love" from his first album My Thoughts on the top of my mind for a few weeks now. Could it be I'm seeing things before they happen? haha, maybe not psychic but something special perhaps. If you've caught up with the latest reality tv show R&B Divas on TV One, you've noticed Ms. Wyatt's comeback to the spotlight but on a more personal level with other noted "Diva" singers: Faith Evans, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson, and Nicci Gilbert from 90's group Brownstone.

I'm loving this classy suit and tie look guys are rocking these days! Avant is looking good I must say. Anyone out here who can't help but draw comparisons with people, tell me if it hasn't crossed your mind that Avant resembles R. Kelly. I just think of him every time. Maybe when Avant sings his melodious oohs that's the reason. My research shows I'm not that far off base because he is influenced and inspired by R. Kelly. It's been three years since the "Separated" serenader has hit the scene with fresh material and his approach to this new project was to bring "Real" R&B back. I aint mad at him; he's part of the reinventing and rejuvenation of R&B which as a listener is the reason why I'm so involved with talking about soul music again.The fashionista in me notices many details in fashion and style. I'm in love with the "Serenada-esque" flamenco inspired dress adorning Ms. Wyatt. It is body-forming and very sexy even though the neckline is a bit too showy for my taste. The pairing with her voluptuous love-siren look and Avant's classy sophisticated look emphasizes the theme of this song. Provided are the duet's serenade:
