Little did I know you were making headway and your voice heard before your Eponymous debut album Tamia in 1998.

There's no denying how special your vocals are! Strong, Sweet, Sensual, Rich, and overwhelmingly Inviting and Enticing! With a string of Unforgettable Hits: So Into You, Careless Whisper, Loving You Still, Spend My Life With You featuring Eric Benet, Missing You featuring Chaka Khan, Brandy, and Glady's Knight featured in the 1996 movie SET IT OFF and on the soundtrack, There's a Stranger In My House, Officially Missing You, Can't Get Enough, Me, and more. I believe you have not received the attention you rightfully deserved in the Music World. You stand next to the likes of Deborah Cox, Mariah Carey, Faith Evans, and the Divas who paved the way before them. Well I at least believe that's where you should rightfully be. How could you be over-looked? It baffles and reminds me of how tumultuous the music industry really is. There are many who have the most undeniable talent but never reach that mainstream hit, the big mark that Lasts... Doesn't matter for you though. You left a melodic memory that is ingrained in the ears and minds of music lovers who value your voice. A career in a Musical Dream you forged a path that eventually was put to the side to fulfill the role as wife and mother, which is strongly respected. A Balance in a Woman's Life helps her to feel complete. Accomplishing her dreams as well as having her own family. There are amazing Female singers out here who encompass so many Wonderful Qualities as Singers but upon first appearance the Softness and Gentleness of your visage held a powerhouse to behold vocally. The First to recognize and witness this Blessing was the one and only Quincy Jones who rightfully gave you a place on his '94 album Q's Jook Joint with a Lovable Crooning "Coming-Out" song, You Put A Move On My Heart. Your Way of saying, Here I Am! I'm Ready for You, World!

Just recently Tamia made a pleasant surprise appearance on the "Most-Fun & Memorable BET Awards I've seen in awhile", 2012 BET AWARDS After Party wearing a bare-arm high-low hem black frock, GLOWING as she usually does! It wasn't that long ago that I was thinking to  myself, Where is Tamia?!? When is she going to come out with a new Amazing single or New Album and it was heaven sent for the angel to let us know she is back in the game with a New Album; and nonetheless another Catchy, Sensual, Love Song that will surely Excite your ears, Beautiful Surprise.

Tamia's 5th Studio Album Beautiful Surprise with her Latest single of the same sweet title showcases her loveliness in her prime to entice us once more. Her husband basketball player Grant Hill makes a special appearance in the video to surely make us aware of his place in her heart, as A Beautiful Surprise. It is such a Delightfully Co-Written Song by the Songstress herself and produced by the All Too Amazing Salaam Remi http://www.soulculture.co.uk/blogs/tamia-beautiful-surprise-prod-by-salaam-remi-new-music/trackback/ that Lifts me Up, Makes me feel Joyous, and Just Want to Dance... To be Grateful for the Beautiful Surprise in her life, makes you realize the ones in your own life, and just count  your Blessings. Tamia's vocal aerobics are what makes her fun to listen to. The Change-ups are on fire and I just can't get enough. I can't even pin-point which lines are my favorite since the whole sing is composed quite well so you just have to listen to see what I mean ;)

I love female heroines, especially those that appear they can't meet up but show that they can deliver. My inside viewpoint on Tamia's voice which is btw in the 5 octave range http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamia is that she has the ability to sing softly, almost in an underdeveloped girly fashion, but then when she reaches the chorus of a song and throws in her personalized ad-libs you can feel the magnitude she reaches. The power is undoubtedly there giving her worthy praise and the ability to roll with The Top Divas.
