JT Returns To His Blue-eyed Soul With Raving Results

My absolute favorite performance hands down (sorry Miguel even though you're number 1 to me) was Justin Timberlake's "Suit And Tie" with Jay-Z. It may have been the High Definition or Surround Sound on my television set because I was hearing every bump and boom from the bass in that song! It gave it Life. When JT released the audio version I wasn't sure how I felt about it. It wasn't a big deal, but now after listening AND viewing a live performance WITH a live "big-band" on the Grammy stage I've become an instant fan 4-sho. Great way to Return after 4 years!

Justin has this effortless ease and casualty on stage as if he's done it many times before, which he has! A far cry from his "Pop" boy band N'Sync days. Would you ever have thought coming from so far left this white boy would have so much soul?!? I sure didn't! N'Sync was top back when I was in high school and many white girls loved him and  N'Sync. Actually the one big memory I have is buying a ticket to go to a concert with some friends and ended up being left behind. So much for my N'Sync experience but I'm not sore about it. I've learned many lessons with "friends" and special occasions such as those. It's made me more humble experiencing the loss of many opportunities, especially many years ago when T.L.C. came into town during one of the most dangerous snowy years we've had in Georgia. A friend invited me to the concert but the weather was so bad my parents forbade me to go for my safety. My friend didn't want me to take her down with her so I believe she found a way to go on ahead even though it was unsafe. Looking back without regret it would've been a great experience since third member Left Eye's life ended short in 2001 from a car accident. Moral of story, don't get hung up on certain things if you know you can catch it again or take a risk. The choice is yours. The older you get the more you realize special moments in time do not come around often.

Back to JT's performance, the dancing was in sync, on time, well-done, and just plain Kool. I'm loving this throw back which EOnline sums up rather nicely:
Timberlake [is] dressed to the nines in a tuxedo performing in a studio as well as an art deco style theater replete with a swanky nightclub band, sexy backup dancers, female fans bopping to the beat, and a horn section.
On a real note, are you not happy as readers and listeners how Artists are trying something new?!! Less "copy-catting" and more reinventing, adding old with the new. It's so refreshing. When I tell you I was brought back to music again I'm dead serious. I've been so pissed off with the garbage I've been hearing since 2005-2006 (earlier than that even!)  that I was ready to say goodbye to my love of music. It had to go somewhere. I didn't know where but it had to change.

I'm not the best dancer but "Suit And Tie" had me jumping up doing something in my living room that night! I was like d*mn, for real Justin?!!! That's what I'm talking about. Then what would've made my late father super proud and happy was the crossover into another from The 20/20 Experience, "Pusher Love Girl"  now that's a song that pays homage to the music of my parent's day! From a distance it was mega- live like an actual concert. I presume the Grammys are considered a big concert since the purpose is to commemorate amazing songs and acts of the year. And not to discredit Jay-Z with his portion because it brought a modern hip bad a** swag, but it nearly served as a small part of the grandiose performance, neither good nor bad to have. It just allowed him to share in an exciting moment with his own contribution. No complaints as you can tell are coming from me. Every play back reminds me of how great it was, a timeless work of art that sent a massive buzz through all social media and viewers like me at home for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards the 10th of February 2013.
