February 2014 Black History To Be Celebrated

February - the chosen month for Black History to be remembered. During the 28 days that allowsAfro-Americans/blacks in the US to celebrate their heritage a variety of memorabilia is showcased.

FREEDOM much like the "We Are The World" charity raising music video within a studio-setting provides us the top black female music artists and performers prevalent during the 90's. In black and white it sets the mood appropriately for what it means to be black and proud during that time, even now in this country many of us call home.

I watched and knew it had to be added to commemorate those that fell for our rights and justices, the ones who represent our greatness, and strive to be the beacon of lights for all of us to follow. There's nothing like watching my fellow sistas from TLC, Queen Latifah, Salt & Pepper, Michelle, N'Dgeocello, En Vouge, Vanessa Williams, Pebbles, and more lending their harmoniously rich and strong voices to a set with each other in unison and sisterhood.

WATCH and witness a young promising generation, a time gone but still engrained in our memories. The 90's were a great time to grow up as a kid and it seemed like at the time it would never change. Unfortunately to grow with the times, because time moves forward, we had to evolve into another spectrum of music revolving around the changes of the world. Even though we can't go back and I wish we could, moments like these allow us to always have it with us forever.
